The kids and some friends dipped strawberries in An Occasional Chocolate’s delicious white and dark chocolate, then sprinkled with 4th of July confetti!
First, we washed and dried the strawberries thoroughly (we learned from Cheryl to never mix water with chocolate!).

Then we took the Guittard Chocolate and put the pieces in the microwave on high for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between. It was so easy!
Then we rolled the strawberries in the melted chocolate and put them on a piece of waxed paper.
The kids then got to write on them with white chocolate I had previously melted and dyed with candy coloring. They also sprinkled them with red, white, and blue stars!

They were so proud of their creations but couldn’t wait to eat them!

It was a fun project that was easy enough for the 5 year old, but fancy enough for the 13 year old. Beautiful and delicious!

Here are Cheryl’s Directions for Chocolate Dipped Strawberries. Thanks for giving us such delicious and easy ingredients to work with!

Karen! These are GREAT! Your kids did such a great job! I placed a picture on my website of your kids making these strawberries!
This is such a great project… I’m going to file the idea away as I’m already envisioning Valentine’s Day gifts, Christmas gifts, Halloween party treats, birthday party activities… Thanks for the idea!
