Just wanted to share this. Thought it was fun.

We went out to our craft store and bought a few small sized clay pots (2″). I also bought some orange, white, and yellow paint for about 50 cents a bottle, and some of those little spongy paint sticks. My daughters (5 & 3) then painted 3 stripes onto the pots. One orange, one white, and one yellow. We turned them upside down, and they look like candy corn!!!

My 18 month old was playing with them earlier today. I had made a bigger one with a 4″ pot, too. She took the small one and stacked it onto the large one and it looked like one giant piece of candy corn. I loved it, so I left it like that. :-)

It only cost about $3-$4 to make 3 candy corn pots.

FUN AND EASY!

Have a great weekend!

Little Eyes Upon You

Posted by funfelt on Saturday Sep 9, 2006 Under

Just thought I’d share this beautiful poem. I do not know the author but it was shared by a fellow Story Time Felts consultant and I just love it!!!

Little Eyes Upon You

There are little eyes upon you
And they’re watching throughout the day.
There are little ears that quickly take
In every word you say.

There are little hands all eager
To do anything you do,
And a little child who’s dreaming
Of the day he’ll be like you.

You’re the little child’s idol.
You’re the wisest of the wise.
In his little mind, about you
No suspicions ever rise.

He believes in you devoutly,
Holds all that you say and do.
He will say and do in your way,
When he’s grown up like you.

You are setting an example
Every day in all you do
For the little child who’s waiting
To grow up and be like you.
